JDM Car Tour Tokyo: the GT-R and Skyline-only version
Most JDM car tours in Tokyo rotate a mixed fleet — a Supra one night, a Silvia the next, a GT-R if you are lucky. Ours is the opposite: five cars from a single bloodline, so the question 'will I get a GT-R?' is never 'maybe'. Same night, same Daikoku car meet, one car.

How this JDM tour differs from the others
| Typical mixed-fleet JDM tour | GTR MAFIA TOKYO | |
|---|---|---|
| Cars | Supra, RX-7, Silvia, sometimes a GT-R, sometimes a Kei car or an NSX — whatever is available | Nissan Skyline R32, R33, R34, Skyline GT-R R34, GT-R R35 — nothing else |
| Will I get a GT-R? | Maybe | Random Plan: 2 of 5 cars are GT-Rs. Premium Plan: guaranteed |
| Pricing | Often per car (good for three people, expensive for one) | Per person, ¥26,000 or ¥36,000, so solo travellers and couples pay for seats not vehicles |
| Route | Usually Daikoku PA | Shibuya → Bayshore Route → Daikoku PA (1 hr) → Tokyo Tower → Shibuya |
| Driving | Passenger | Passenger — no licence needed |
| Who drives | Varies | The founder, who films this scene weekly for 35,000 TikTok followers |
If you would be equally happy in any Japanese sports car and there are three of you, a mixed tour with per-car pricing can be better value — we say so in our comparison of every Tokyo car experience. If the GT-R is the point, this is the tour built for it.
What the night looks like
Three hours, 19:00 from Shibuya (or any time on request). The Shuto Expressway out past the Rainbow Bridge on the Bayshore Route, about an hour at the Daikoku car meet, then back under Tokyo Tower for photos while it is still lit, and drop-off in Shibuya around 21:45. Fuel, tolls, parking and an English-speaking driver are included; there is no deposit because you are not renting the car.
The cars
- Nissan Skyline R32 — the generation that earned the Godzilla name
- Nissan Skyline R33 — the underrated one that broke eight minutes at the Nürburgring
- Nissan Skyline R34 and Skyline GT-R R34 — the most wanted Japanese car on earth
- Nissan GT-R R35 — the supercar-killer, 2007 to today
Every car is road-legal, insured for passenger carriage and driven at legal speeds. This is a JDM night drive, not a race; see who it is and is not for.
Prices
Random Plan ¥26,000 per person — a car drawn from all five. Premium Plan ¥36,000 per person — drawn from the R34 GT-R and R35 only. Children under six ride free. Groups of four or more are split across cars at the same per-person rate. Full breakdown and comparison with per-car operators in the price guide.
Frequently asked questions
What is a JDM car tour in Tokyo?
A guided night drive in a Japanese Domestic Market sports car — typically to the Daikoku PA car meet — where a professional drives and guests ride as passengers, so no licence is needed. GTR MAFIA TOKYO's version uses only Nissan Skyline and GT-R cars.
Which cars are on the GTR MAFIA TOKYO JDM tour?
Nissan Skyline R32, R33, R34, Skyline GT-R R34 (BNR34) and Nissan GT-R R35. No Supra, RX-7, Silvia or non-Nissan cars.
How much does a JDM car tour in Tokyo cost?
Mixed-fleet tours run roughly 15,000 to 26,000 yen per person or 60,000 to 90,000 yen per car in 2026. GTR MAFIA TOKYO is 26,000 yen per person (Random Plan) or 36,000 yen per person (Premium Plan, GT-R guaranteed), all-inclusive.
Do I need a licence for a JDM car tour?
No. It is a passenger experience. A professional English-speaking driver drives for the whole three hours.
Does the JDM tour go to the Daikoku car meet?
Yes. Daikoku PA is the main stop, with about an hour on site. If police close it, the tour diverts to Umihotaru PA at no extra cost.
Is a GT-R-only tour better than a mixed JDM tour?
It depends on what you want. If the GT-R specifically is the reason you are booking, or you are one or two people (per-person pricing), yes. If any Japanese sports car will do and there are three of you splitting a per-car fee, a mixed tour can be better value.
